Happy New Year to you!
We hope you’ve had a fun filled and peaceful Christmas break and are ready for what 2016 has in store!
Every year Collect a Case and JustEco goes above and beyond its call of duty to help raise money for charities nationwide such as the Gene Association, Save the Children and Macmillan Cancer Support.
This year we’ve decided to try something different and focus all of our energies and attention on one local charity, making it the main beneficiary of our fundraising efforts during 2016.
We consider local community involvement to be an essential role within any company and we take great pride in the support we are able to offer to our chosen causes. This year we’ll be supporting the Rossendale Trust.
Let us tell you about this wonderful cause.
The Rossendale Trust provides supported living care to adults with learning and physical disabilities in purpose built apartments in Sutton and Macclesfield and houses in Buxton. The Trust continually strives to create an environment where everyone is encouraged to reach and live to their own personal full potential.
The Rossendale Trust grew out of the determination of two local families who identified an urgent need within their community for this type of facility and they collectively decided to take action.
They wanted to create a safe and secure environment, and its aim was to provide an environment in which people can develop and grow.
All of this requires a tremendous amount of effort from carers as their tenants needs may increase as they get older. Indeed, some tenants have lived in accommodation provided by the Rossendale Trust for well over 30 years.
The Trust has grown from strength to strength, providing a ‘happy family’ style of atmosphere and environment for all of its tenants and we are pleased that we have chosen to support this worthy cause.
We will be getting involved in a series of charitable events throughout the year, such as the London Marathon in April (we’re currently on the reserved list), and The Manchester 10k Run in May.
The Trust also organises annual fetes, a Worktaste programme (click here to view their video) and other fun events such as ‘Helpful Hands’ where you can get involved and volunteer your time during the day to help maintain the grounds in Sutton.
If you would like to contribute towards this worthy cause, please watch this space for further details.
