Collect a Case, just shy off the par

After our typical British summer weather, leading up to the Memorial Skye Higgins charity Golf day looked a little ominous, but our luck was in and the rain stayed off for what was a brilliant day hosted by Tigersolve Ltd.

Famous for its natural beauty, and dramatic bunkering, the 18 hole golf course stretched over 160 acres located in Cheshire’s finest countryside and didn’t let the occasion down. Satisfying us with beautiful landscapes, exciting fairways, and a day off work!

As usual the competitive spirit was high amongst the Collect a case staff. We had an array of talent on show, Jack Ward, our young prodigy, sporting his finest clubs, stylish golf attire, and a cocky can do attitude. Lee Stork, full of banter (sometimes hurtful) and high expectations! We were just hoping he had more than just age on his side. Andrew Rainnie, unlike his name was shining all round the Golf course. Dan mills, with his calm, emotionless exposure showed no mercy on the green. Our Operations Director John Fransham opted to show more leg than his Golfing skills, and finally me, who was the pure example of having no gear, and definitely no idea.

We arrived in style, ‘as you do at these networking events’ pulling up in a cloud of smoke in our golf buggies, pulling skids, donuts, and breaking the speed limit on any given opportunity whilst on this prestigious course!

We discovered the art of teeing off in a north easterly facing direction, rummaging through hedgerow, and finding balls that weren’t ours. You would have thought by the 18th hole we should have mastered the ability to hit a ball in a straight line….but we didn’t.

I seem to remember a queue of angry Golfers behind us, we were clearly annoying all the members. But it was for charity, so we raised the middle finger, and laughed it off!

We finished last, but this didn’t dampen our spirits. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Tigersolve LTD for a fantastic day, everyone was immensely proud to be taking part for such a worthy cause, and next year we’ll come back with a bang!
